In Montefalcione, a tiny village perched on a hill at short distance from Avellino, there are vineyards of Fiano.
These are places naturally vocated to agriculture, especially the production of wines. Scattered landscapes of vineyards and, above all, made up of people historically tied to the tradition of winemaking.
The vineyards of Fiano is at 380 m asl, in prevalence on a clay soil, grown with Guyot system with 4,000 plants per ha.
The manual harvest takes place in early October. Sunny days, rain and extreme temperature ranges make this wine elegant, rich and true expression of local character.
Full-bodied, complex, Fiano di Avellino still enchants.
