Taurasi by Sertura comes from the vineyards in Torre Le Nocelle, area San Mercurio, where historically Aglianico grape is grown with passion and dedication.
The main feature of this place is the clay component, that makes local wines so distinctive.
More, temperature ranges between day and night make these wines outstanding.
The vineyards of Taurasi are the same as Aglianico: so vineyards at 500 m asl, grown with guyot system, with 4,000 plants per ha.
Manual harvest is as late as November, with a manual selection of grapes.
Taurasi, from aglianico grapes only, is the most valuable and elegant wine, aged 18 months in oak barrels and then in bottle to smooth the tannins.
Main red wine of South Italy, Taurasi DOCG is the highest and distinguished expression of its terroir.
